In the upper right corner of the main page, click on "High School State Tournament". Scroll down a bit, and you'll see links to both the AAA and AA/A 2020 state tournaments. Let me know if you see any issues or mistakes!
I'm still proofreading the pages, so if you see any names that are misspelled or any records that don't look right, please send an email to wvmat@outlook.com. (We're testing a new email account.)
Thank you so much, Randy! I believe I actually have that photo, but I will let you know if I need it. And thanks to everyone else. I have all of the photos I need - just waiting on a few more from Action Images, and then the state tournament pages can be posted! As I've stated numerous times, people...
HELP PLEASE! I forgot my camera this year, and Action Images doesn't have all of the photos we need to complete the state tournament pages. If you can help me out, I need the following photos in original large format: John Bonecutter, Class AA Coach of the Year Peyton Hall, Class AA MOW Jeremy Tinch...

I was chatting on the phone with Bill Archer at lunchtime and he wanted me to post on here that he wishes everyone the best of luck with the Girls State Tournament. He said that they have plenty of mats if any additional mats are needed.

Sheesh, Mike, I don’t know why I let you get under my skin like I do and feel like I have to dignify your post with a response. Probably because we’ve known each other forever and I can yell at you and you still like me, lol. You honestly have NO idea how much work goes into this. I have seen the sp...
They are in the works now. After some additional review, Doc should be posting them to the coaches’ forum for their comments and votes in the next day or so.
Actually, Hunter Cline (2012-15) leads the team in in-state forfeits with 32. He wrestled 106-113. Samantha has 18 in-state forfeits. Braxton has 11 in-state forfeits. Hunter's of course were legitimate forfeits where the team either had no wrestler or bumped a kid up. I can't confirm whether or not...
I absolutely agree with Studcradle! If a wrestler on our team gets his or her hand raised, it counts as a win, so forfeits count as wins but byes don’t. (I’ve had to explain this to more than one freshman parent. :) ) When I submit seeding criteria documentation, I list the record, but I also note h...

I sent a message to Shaggy to have him remove Oscar at 182 and put Brent Parkhurst in. I JUST got the Ritchie County results for all of our Blue Team wrestlers sorted out Friday afternoon, and then I had to get the book updated.
The results will be reported. Just be patient with me.
I plan to do that very soon, Kenny, both on the Facebook page, and as a scores submission to Doc. I apologize to you, the South fans, and especially the South Blue Team parents. I'll send you a private message.
It’s a few days late, but I want to congratulate Braxton Amos and Casch Somerville on their 100th wins this past weekend at the Marysville Duals. Braxton got his in the match against Springboro, and Casch got his in the next dual against Graham. Great job, guys! Braxton’s career record is now 101-0....
South Wrestling mom Andrea Brown asked me to publicly recognize the Calhoun youth wrestlers and their families. At the end of yesterday’s Blue & White Tournament, adults and kids alike picked up all the trash in their section of the bleachers. Thank you to all of you! What a great example the ad...
A wrestler who wins a semifinal match can score anywhere from 11 to 13 points (11 for a decision, 12 major, 12.5 tech fall, 13 pin). A wrestler who wins a consolation semifinal match can score anywhere from 5 to 7 points (5 for a decision, 6 major, 6.5 tech fall, 7 pin). A wrestler who wins a consol...
I just got everything formatted and emailed to Doc today. They should be posted soon! While we’re on the subject of photos, I want to apologize to the families, friends, and fans (and to the wrestlers themselves!) who are not pictured in the group photos of the individual champions. Ray (Action Imag...
