As America's fastest growing sport, West Virginia continues to grow also with 5 girl only events this upcoming season. We now have girl events scheduled in the South (Shady Spring), Eastern Panhandle (Musselman and East Hardy), Central (Gilmer County), and in the West (Parkersburg Area). Now if we can get the Northern Panhandle involved we would have opportunities in all parts of the state. No excuses for the girls not to get involved.
Just recently the Girls State Golf Tournament had their largest tournament ever and I am anticipating over 100 high school girls at this years Girls State Championship as the sport continues to grow.
