Greenbrier West won the tournament beating Greenbrier East 36-33

Saw a possible state championship preview at 170 today between Patterson of Greenbrier West and Williams from Braxton. Patterson won 4-3. Awesome wrestling match.

Last season, Williams had a shoulder problem and clearly had a bad state tournament. Rumor is he healed up and lifted a lot in the off season.

Patterson was state runner up last season and has put in the time in the weight room also.

Runner up beats a state tournament 0-2 wrestler by 4-3. Great stuff!!!!!

Van Meter is 152. Jenkins is 170. Van Meter has wrestled 160 until our Tri with EH and Keyser on 1/3 when he was allowed to go to 152. Jenkins was 170 at the Superior Photo tournament. He has wrestled primarily 182/195 this season for the good of the team but will be wrestling 170 for the rest of the year. Both are undefeated. Good luck to all that are able to wrestle this weekend!

Could have a Hall vs Rea rematch at Cameron Tournament tomorrow. Lot of AA region 1 teams will be wrestling there, should make a great day of wrestling!
