9th graders are too weak to beat anyone. This isn't middle school. Come on!

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There are 8th graders that would win a title or two this year. Too weak. Hahahahah

Don’t forget about Freshman Kemo Summers of Bridgeport High School. They have a nice program going with Head Coach Chris Courtney.

Conley- Braxton
Conaway- North Marion
Scott- Fairmont Senior
Vanmeter- Moorefield
Summers- Bport
Kuhn- Lewis County

A couple of these boys are still wrestling though they may not be a threat to place this year, but all showed a high ceiling for the future.

You know, I think they let 8th graders wrestle in the high school state tournament in Florida. Oops! I probably shouldn't have brought that up.
(might be sarcasm, I'm not going to say)

Wright is in 7th grade. He still has a couple of years before high school. As far as competing against high schoolers, I would say yes he can. There is a reason that Region IV runner-up Brayden Johnson was wrestling JV last year at Edison.

All good wrestlers. Regarding the ones I know, Van Meter is regional champ at 160 and Summers is regional champ at 220, Conley beat a state qualifier from last year to get into states this year, and Kuhn finished 2nd at regionals, so all of these freshmen may still have some being "a force" to do this year.

Penn State's Mark Hall won 6 high school state titles in Minnesota. I think you can wrestle 6 years of high school in Kentucky also.

And to think, both of you are moderators. I don't know who is worse in trying to stir up trouble.

If high school is having such a hard time filling lineups why not allow middle school kids who are good enough move up.

I am sure that will do wonders for the middle school wrestling programs.

I'm not saying all the middle school kids but the ones who are talented enough to start should have the choice.
