Today is a sad day for Nitro Wrestling. Around 2:00 AM this morning Margaret Ranson passed away and reunited with her husband Bobby. Margaret and Bobby played significant roles in the careers of many wrestlers, not just in Nitro but across the state. People far and wide knew the Ransons by name but to all the wrestler’s whose lives they’ve touched they were known as Mawmaw and Pawpaw. They will forever be loved and missed.
Please send your thought to family during this difficult time.

I officiated the Nitro Invitational for many years and there was never one that i was officiating that Margaret and Bobby were not there. They loved the wrestling and she named the sportsmanship award winner every year even after Bobby passed. What a great lady she was and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. Now she can be reunited with Bobby in heaven!!!! I'll never forget her!!!!!GK

Echo the sentiments George. I always got a hug from her at the state tournament and she insisted I “sit for a spell!”
Heart felt condolences to the Nitro family and especially the Dunbar family. She was certainly special in my eyes and will be sorely missed.
