I'm writing this on here not to brag as a Dad but to tell you and express how proud I am of you. As the end draws near and season ends this weekend in Huntington 95% of the building says you have no shot to win the state title but the 5% that know you and watched how you have improved after taking 3 years off and going 39-9 and winning MSAC and Region III say you can and will. No matter what happens your still my outstanding wrestler for all the long hours and extra work you have put in to obtain one goal. Now walk the aisle starting Thursday and shock the WV wrestling world by doing it your way by grinding it out and gutting it out.
I wish all the wrestlers at the state tournament good luck and hope no injuries occur and I hope no one was offended by this but it's just my little tribute to a great humble kid who has always been told he can't or couldn't do it.
Love ya son
Dad

Gator he's won a ton of awards and all states and got his full ride to WV State but I promise you he don't want nothing more than to walk that aisle Sat night. Appreciate your comment thank you.

Very nice post to your son, and I wish him the best of luck! Not to take away anything from the wrestlers in the upper bracket, but I wish Chris was in a separate bracket from Adam Whitmore.

I may not have seen your boy wrestle in person this year, but I've followed the results. What an impressive season for taking three years off! I quit making predictions a long time ago, but I will definitely say I'm not a member of the 95%. :)

And there's nothing better than a wrestler who steps off the mat in February and heads to the diamond in March! (Baseball was my original sports obsession, and I still enjoy it.)

Enjoy these last few days. I know they will be bittersweet.

Me too, I remember when he was always hanging with the Monster Garage guys. Great kid, I gotta pull for Whitmore since I'm a Midland guy but whatever happens, I hope that side of the bracket wins it all.

Bear secretly the 5% is larger and even down Huntington way but we like the 5% where it is.

Jordan is old school. No lazy tactics with that kid. He punches the clock and carries the lunch pail.
