On September 23rd & 24th, the WVU Wrestling Staff will be hosting the 1st annual Fall Prospect Clinic at the WVU Wrestling Pavilion. The clinic is opened to all high school athletes interested in competing at the collegiate level. The clinic is designed to give each participant an idea of what it takes to be a successful college wrestler as well as the mindset expected of them when they join a Division I program. Each participant will receive comprehensive feedback after each session in order to help each wrestler maximize their potential.
On October 21st & 22nd, the WVU Wrestling Staff will also host the 1st annual Coaches Clinic at the WVU Wrestling Pavilion. The Coaches Clinic is designed to provide each coach in attendance with world class technique, drills, and skills that will help elevate their teams performance as well as sharpen their own skills as a coach. There will also be seminar discussions regarding topics such as strength training for wrestling, nutrition, athlete development, and academics. Coaches in attendance will also get to watch the first round of wrestle-offs for the WVU Wrestling Team. The matches will consist of preliminary matches, and the first match in the best of three championship match series. There will be two socials during the clinic, as well as a watch party for the WVU-Baylor football game.
For any questions regarding either clinic or to register, please contact Tony DeAngelo at 336-264-8029, or by email at agdeangelo@mix.wvu.edu.
