I totally understand Archer's decision in re-scheduling the WSAZ. With the predicted snowfall, travel issues, possibly being under state of emergency, etc ... it would be hard to do anything. My question is, I guess several teams (Edison, Hurricane, Calhoun County, etc) will have to choose either WSAZ or WV Duals next weekend. Once again, not blaming anyone for the decision. Well maybe Mother Nature.

Charles Town planned on bringing 12 kids to WSAZ and wanted to participate in WV Duals.. this sucks

For the Archer's and all the middle schools, it had to be a no-brainer to go ahead with a rescheduled WSAZs. Only a handful of teams participate in the WV Duals. Many, many more teams are in the WSAZs. I commend them for having the moxie to cancel even if it disappointed everyone (they don't control the weather, they're working around a potentially disastrous weather situation) and the willingness to reschedule such an important event.

The WV Middle school duals are being moved to another date in an effort to accommodate the wrestling world. We had a major conflict with the facility and this will allow us to resolve that issue. The high school part will go on as planned at Parkersburg HS. We have openings for those team that wish to compete. Contact David Jeffrey at matofficial@yahoo.com

It appears that if more middle schools cancel coming to the duals, it increases capacity for more high school teams.

Will the 13-under/Elementary duals still be held Sunday, January 31st?

The elementary duals will be Sunday the 31st at Parkersburg HS

Will the 6th graders who wrestles in wSAZ fri-sat, be allowed any weight on Sunday? If not it's gonna be real tough for wv 6th graders to make weight if they're close.
