I just looked over the results of the quad involving:
South
St. Mary's
Lewis County
Belpre, OH.
The forfeits given up by a given school were as follows:
LC: 9 forfeits or 54 points
SM: 7 or 42 points
Belp: 5 or 30 points
When these three schools enter a tournament, they will bring these gaps with them. These gaps can and should be filled with other team's JV wrestlers.
The future is not duals. The future needs to be getting the kids who want to wrestle, on the mat every week.
On another note, who is LC's Mitchell? He is a perfect example of why wrestling is a great individual sport. He went home a winner when his team and their 9 forfeits didn't stand a team chance. Mitchell could go on and qualify, place or win a state title.
