AAA ROSTERS

WVSSAC has had a site for wrestling rosters for years. Of the 29 AAA teams 17 have submitted rosters. The following schools have not submitted rosters: Cabell Midland, Hedgesville, Wahington, John Marshall (not for 2 years), University, Wheeling Park, Saint Albans, Woodrow Wilson, George Washington, Riverside, South Charleston and #1 rated powerhouse 20 time state champion PARKERSBURG SOUTH. It's nice to look at the rosters and see what grades the wrestlers are in. We as fans like to see what the future holds for our team. I would think it would not take but a few minutes to summit a team roster especially for teams like South Charleston who have very few wrestrlers.

The roster submission is done by the school's athletic director or maybe an administrator. Athletic directors do this as well as eligibility on the WVSSAC site. Coaches do not have "WVSSAC Clearance" for that. You could use the contact link on the main page to call the schools' athletic directors and ask them. Let us know what you find out.

For me, rosters are always changing.

Last night I saw a top wrestler down to 132. This changes the landscape for both 132 and 138.

Today, there has been dialogue about a wrestler coming back from an injury. Roster change!

Kids come and go for many reasons. Roster change.

I would like to see all team's schedules made available on WVMAT.

Agree rosters change; but this is such a good site for the sport of wrestling it would be an improvement to have Rosters and team schedules posted and updated periodically maybe monthly. Just an idea but what's so difficult about it?

Actually something I thought would be nice on this site would be a list of available tournaments for high school including openings for a tri or a quad. I know people list them on the forum sometimes but if there was a link like there is for for youth and open tournaments I think this could help people find new tournaments to go to and make it easier to put a schedule together.
