Richard Bailey -- "Lifetime Service to Wrestling"

Rick Bailey was a 1986 graduate of East Fairmont High School, where he wrestled his freshman year under Mike Kent. In 1993, after serving in the US Navy, Rick moved back home, gradu- ated from West Virginia University, and went to work in the family business.

He began his coaching career with East Fairmont Jr. Wrestling Club in 1995 as an assistant coach for Ray Robe along with Mike Morris. In 2003, East Fairmont Jr. High Coach Shane Eakle asked Rick to join the staff, where they created Quest in the Nest Tournament which is still a premier Middle School Tourney in WV. Bailey then joined the East Fairmont High School coaching staff as Director of Wrestling Operations under Head Coach John Geary (2005 -2018) and Adam Boyers (2018-2021). From 2005-2021, East Wrestling experienced unprecedented team and individual successes with 25 Individual State Champions, 52 State Finalists, 102 All-State Wrestlers, 17 High School All- Americans, 3 State Runner-Up Teams (AAA 2007, A 2017, 2018), 8 Regional Championships along with 12 Conference Championships. Throughout his 25- year career, he also coached Teams representing West Virginia in the Ohio Tournament of Champions, Tulsa Youth Championships, Beast of the East, NHSCA High School Nationals, and the Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic in Pittsburgh. His proudest moments have come from the success of his wrestlers off the mat in the game of life.

Rick and his wife Erin, of 34 years, reside in Fairmont. They are the proud parents of son Mason Bailey (Natalie) of Fairmont and daughter Reghan Bailey of Cincinnati. They have 2 grandchildren Marra (8) and Graham (1).

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame honors Rick Bailey with a "Lifetime Service to Wrestling" award, Class of 2024.

Phil Bartram -- "Lifetime Service to Wrestling"

Phil Bartram graduated from Fairland High School (Ohio) in 1968. At Fairland he participated in football, wrestling and track (captain). He attended Marshall University and graduated in 1976 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.

He moved to Raleigh County in 1977 teaching at Bradley Elementary School. While at Bradley, he started a highly successful youth wrestling program. He became the assistant wrestling coach at Woodrow Wilson High School in 1981. He was the head coach at Woodrow Wilson from 1995 to 2006. His teams boast- ed twenty-five individual regional championships and forty state place winners. He also coached wrestling for two years at Stratton Jr. High School.

During this time he coached other sports like football at Park Jr. High (9 years) boy's track at Liberty High School (18 years)and cross country at Woodrow Wilson (12 years). He also helped start middle school cross country in the southern part of the state. Phil's teams won numerous conference and regional titles in track and cross country.

Phil was a two time wrestling Regional Coach of the Year, seven time Coalfield Conference Coach of the Year and was inducted into the Raleigh County Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1984. Phil has been described as having a "warm personality, integrity and sincerity with a focus on academics and athletics. He loved to compete."

Phil and his lovely wife Stella reside in Crown City, Ohio. They have two children-Shawn(Megan) and Ashley. They also have two grandchildren- Addy and Olivia.

Joe Burton -- "Lifetime Service to Wrestling"

Joe Burton was a 1969 graduate of Ravenswood High. He was the first wrestler to compete for RHS. In 1965 under Coach Bob Maxwell Joe as the first 2-Time Conference Champion and the first 2-Time Regional Champion. Also, Joe was first 2-Time State Placer at 4th and 3rd Place. In 2022, Joe was honored to be inducted into Ravenswood High School Wrestling Hall of Fame.

After high school, Joe helped start Pee Wee Wrestling in Wirt County, where he sent many good, young wrestlers on to high school. In 1992, Joe moved to the high school where he helped Matt Ashley develop a great wrestling program at Wirt County High School. During this time, Wirt County won 17 individual state titles and was the State Team Runner-up 4 times.

Joe retired in 2014, but came back as an assistant, where Wirt won two more individual state titles. Joe still helps with the programs at Wirt County and Ravenswood. Teaching this great sport to young men and women has been such an honor .... being elected to the WVWHOF just tops it off.

Joe and his wife, Tammy of 25 years reside in Wirt County. They have 3 children, Shauna, Courtney and Aaron. Joe also has 3 stepchil- dren, Danny, Ben and Billy. Joe and Tammy also have 6 Grandchildren.

Chris Diserio -- "Lifetime Service to Wrestling"

Chris Diserio has been a registered wrestling official in West Virginia and Ohio for four decades. He has officiated the West Virginia State Wrestling Championships in Huntington, West Virginia for two decades.

Chris Diserio was also a mat arbiter at 35 West Virginia Re- gional Wrestling Tournaments, 32 Winner's Choice Wres- tling Championships, 2 Wheeling Park Wrestling Duals, 25 Brooke Wrestling Classics, 20 John Marshall Wrestling Invitationals, 10 WSAZ Wrestling Tournaments, numerous OVAC Ron Mauck Wrestling Championships, and two Sectional Wrestling Tournaments in Ohio.

Chris Diserio was selected as the West Virginia State Wrestling Official of the Year in 2007. He was also the President of the Central West Virginia Wrestling Officials Association.

Chris Diserio is retired from UPS and resides in Wellsburg, West Virginia.

He has two children: Isabella, 26 and Christopher, 25.

Alan Fell -- "Lifetime Service to Wrestling"

Alan Fell is a 1971 graduate of Phillipsburg High School in New Jersey where he wrestled for the legendary coach Thad Turner. During Alan's high school career the wrestling team won fifty-six consecutive dual matches. (Turner later coached at Lehigh University).

Alan moved to West Virginia in the mid 1970's taking a job at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill. In 1997 he enrolled his son on the Beckley Central Youth Wrestling Team and immediately became a volunteer coach. After one year at Beckley, he and Joel Harris started a youth wrestling program at Oak Hill. Later they formed a wrestling team at Collins Middle School in Oak Hill. At Oak Hill High School, with Joel Harris as the head coach and Alan as his assistant, wrestling began to flourish. Their program started producing individual regional champions and state place winners. In 2007, Alan's son, Ryan, became the school's first state wrestling champion winning the AA-A 215 pound class. In 2008 , Oak Hill's team won their first ever Region 3 championship and qualified ten athletes to the state tourney. This was one of Alan's proudest moments. With Joel Harris's departure, Alan took over as head coach and helped the school transition into the AAA classification. After four years as head coach he resigned in 2014 but he continued to volunteer with the high school and middle school programs.

He also helps, on occasion, with his son's middle school program in Morgantown. Alan has been a strong advocate for girls' wrestling in West Virginia. He enjoys biking during his free time.

Alan and his wife, Toni reside in Oak Hill. They are the proud parents of sons, Nathan (Jenny), Ryan (Holly) and daughter Bevin (Jacob). They are the proud grandparents of Lilly, Avery, Carter, Maci and Maddox.

David Greathouse -- "Outstanding American"

Colonel David Greathouse was 1964 graduate of Huntington High School and was a member of the varsity wrestling team for three years, culminating in his senior season when was team captain and finished in 4'" place at the 1964 WV State Wrestling Championships. He graduated from Marshall University in 1968 and was a mem- ber of the MU wrestling team for four years and was co-captain with Bob Pickens both his junior and senior seasons. Colonel Greathouse received a Certificate in Physical Therapy from the D.T. Watson School of Physiatrics, and a MS (Education/Physical Therapy) and PhD (Anatomy) from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Greathouse is a Diplomate, American Board of Physical Therapy Spe- cialties in Clinical Electrophysiology Physical Therapy.

During his military career, Dr. Greathouse was a high school and college wrestling official and vol- unteer wrestling coach (high school and youth programs) in Kansas. Texas, SHAPE/Belgium, and Kentucky.

From 1970-1996, Dr. Greathouse served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Colonel. Colonel Greathouse had clinical assignments at Walter Reed Army Medical Center; Ft. Riley, KS; Brooke Army Medical Center; and 196'h Station Hospital (Chief PT), SHAPE, Belgium. Dr. Greathouse was the Director, U.S. Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Physical Therapy, Chief, Physical Therapist Section, Office of The Surgeon General; and Chief, Army Medical Special- ist Corps, Office of The Surgeon General. As Chief, AMSC, Colonel Greathouse was responsible for the practice, education and research for all U.S. Army allied health officers and enlisted technicians for OT, PT, dietitian, and PA- totaling over 2000 professional, active-duty officers. Upon his retire- ment, Colonel Greathouse received the Army Distinguished Service Medal from The Army Surgeon General for his exemplary service as Chief, AMSC.

From 1996-2005, Dr. Greathouse served as the founding chair and associate dean of the Belmont University School of Physical Therapy and Professor, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Greathouse is currently the Director, Clinical Electrophysiology Services, TEXPTS, Live Oak, TX and Professor, U.S. Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy, Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Dr. Greathouse has published 62 peer reviewed manuscripts and 17 book chapters/monologues and has given over 200 professional presentations. Dr. Greathouse was named a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the APTA in 2006 - the highest honor for a physical therapist. He was inducted into the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences' Hall of Fame (2013); a recipient of the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitative Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award (2015); and the 2019 Penny G. Kroll Visiting Speaker at the Marshall University School of Physical Therapy.

David and his wife Charlotte live in San Antonio, TX; and have two sons David G. Greathouse, II and (Tracy) and Dr. Jeffery A. Greathouse (Meme); and three grandchildren Guy (Felicia), Brooke, and Ann.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame honors Colonel (Dr.) David G. Greathouse as an "Outstanding American", Class of 2024.

Ronald Trowbridge, Jr. -- "Lifetime Service to Wrestling"

Ron Trowbridge graduated from Cameron High School in 1985. He began wrestling in the 5th grade coached by Bob Baird. During this time and through Jr. Hi. is when he would be introduced to Coach Baird's "Basic Wrestling Moves", the foundation for his wrestling and coaching career.

During his high school career he participating in both football and wrestling for legendary and Hall of Fame Coach Jim Potts. He was a 2-time State Tournament and OVAC placer. During his senior season he finished with an individual state championship at 138 lbs. The team won their first Regional Championship and finished as State Runner-up AA-A.

Ron graduated from West Virginia University in 1989 with a B.S. in Secondary Education with certification in Biology and General Science. He was also a member of the WVU wrestling team.

He started his coaching career at Cameron in 1990-1991, assisting Coach Jim Rogers with the Jr. Hi. Program and volunteering with the high school team.

Coach Trowbridge was Varsity Assistant Coach with Head Coach Jim Potts from 1991- 2005. During that time the Cameron Wrestling Program experienced much success. From 1991-2005 Cameron won 4 AA-A State Championships, Runner-up twice and finished 3'd three times. This included finishing in the top 6 at the State Tournament for 15 consecutive years. During this time he coached 42 state finalist and 22 individual state champions along with 5 OVAC champions. Coach Trowbridge was named OVAC Assist Coach of the Year and Cameron won multiple OVAC Class A Team Tournament Titles. The most noted OVAC team accomplishment was in 1993 when Cameron finished as the Overall Tournament Runner-up.

Ron held the Head Coaching position at Cameron from 2008-2013. During that time Cameron had 8 state finalist, 3 individual state champions, an OVAC individual champion and won 3 OVAC Class A Team titles.

Coach Trowbridge has been involved with the Cameron Wrestling Program for the past 47 yrs.

Ron has been employed with Mountaineer Gas Company for 30 yrs. He currently serves as Operations Manager at the Wheeling Service Center.

Ron and his wife Amy of 37 yrs reside in Cameron. They have 3 children, Derek, Cassidy and Natalie. They are the grandparents of Enslee and Dutton.
