I think the most overlooked discrepancy of the WVSSAC is the enrollment criteria. Several schools have dropped into either AA or A over the years but still fill a full roster.
Regional alignments are worse than ive ever seen

Hope this does not water down Wrestling in WV. Until the WVSSAC changes its criteria of student enrollment and/or regional alignments, AA/A regions will be flooded with talent that doesnt qualify for states. I attended the Friday evening session. This is an excellent tournament to measure the Single A schools and the individual wrestlers. I had plans to attend another tournament tomorrow; hieever, I might just make the trip back to Ritchie County.

Why are the Hensons boys wrestling out of PA and not here in WV

Totally agree the Single A polls are seriously flawed. Ritchie County has beat Tyler, and Wirt. These coaches are voting around the WVSSAC’s terrible regional alignments.

Ritchie County is the team to beat in single A. If the WVSSAC would get their heads out of their butts and rearrange the regions the state results would come up much differently.
