Words can not express enough. Gator was one of a kind and a true wrestling fan. I agree with wise one. I will always be looking up to the 22nd row. The sport has lost deeply in last year

Central WV Coaches
ALL Central WV coaches need to get their schedules to Mike Stalnaker ASAP. Like all boards are officials number is down. Email him wresref009@outlook.com or text or call 304 612 6169. Also, if you know anybody who wants to officiate they need to get hold of him ASAP.
Thanks

Re: Ohio Tournaments?
Ironman was cancelled. Word on street is they are having a tournament naming it different then it won't be sanction by OHIO, (work around) heard the power aid is going to be same way. I am sure it will change several times.

Re: WVSSAC Releases Wrestling Modifications
Are WV teams able to attend tournaments in Ohio? The document does not address that but I would guess there would be some type of quarantine on a return from an out of state tournament or one that is not in compliance with these rules. Just my interpretation though and not official. Mike, I asked t...

At this point and time I will be impressed if we even have a season. Way to early to tell. Word on street they are cancelling Power aid and Beast of the East also. Just in holding pattern and wait and see.

Re: Pittsburgh Classic 2020
I really thought we’d see Team WV there this year. This class deserves it. Very disappointing!!! I totally agree 1. You need to get invited. 2. You need to come up with sponsorship. I think it is around 8k. 3. Then find someone to coach. It has been announced. It is Maryland. I know we got one on T...

Re: Want to win? Recruit PA wrestlers
I expected some attrition when Coach Flynn took the reins. From what I hear Coach Henson’s social expectations for our wrestlers were more flexible than Coach Flynn’s. I didn’t expect Schmitt to leave. I am not sure what exactly his departure means about the state of the program. Maybe it means not...

I applaud Bearhugger for stepping up. Just make sure it is legal. Not sure not associated with WVSSAC matters. Hope it all works out!. I am sure this board will blow up in next two weeks on what could should of happened. in my eyes most important thing is life lessons being learned to help make prod...

Re: Baddest Babe Award
I applaud the efforts to recognize female wrestler and their accomplishments. I am not going to get into the name suggested for the award/reward but I would suggest that the rules about giving money to athletes at the high school level be consulted. If it hasn't already been done. I faintly remembe...

As we head into Regional weekend and then states we all should take the time to THANK, Mike Stalnaker. Coach Flynn will be just fine. People don't realize how bad it was when he took over. Give him 3 years. Look what he did with Noah in a year. YES 90% of it is Noah but the other 10% is important. The talent will come. Just look what he did at Edinboro.

Noble idea but don't think it will work. You have AAA and AA teams in same conference.

Could not agree more. My kids laugh at me when I see my high School coach, Merle Tournay. They asked why do you still call him coach? I tell them he will be Coach T until the day I DIE! There isn't a day that goes by I don't use something he taught me about life------ 40 some years later. Chris Dise...

Bill,
You are like a fine wine the just keeps getting better. I can tell your hard work is greatly appreciated. Been to Ohio and Pa Championships and you could teach them a few things.
THANK YOU for all you do. Everybody thinks it is easy until you walk in your shoes.

Re: I may ruffle a few feathers
1. The State tournament is bid on every two years. From my understanding Huntington is only one that applies. 2. You have to have some one run the tournament. (tournament director) etc. Don't know for sure but the OVAC doesn't have anyone to run it. The OVAC is their baby. 3. There is no way you wil...

I think the moderators should ban Gator's post above. "forthekids" is a ref and has never looked concussed. Dazed and confused, but never concussed. However, I did see him one time use his entire 5 minutes of blood time, his entire 5 minutes of "concussed" time, and his entire 1...
