Leave this alone. He gets beat one time by a teammate and out performs the rest of the time in practice. Until you coach and deal with the day to day goings on of a team, congratulate the winner. Don't cut him down.

Seeding info. has not been secret. Rather then ask on the forum for it ask a coach of a team involved in the tournament directly.

Can’t you guys be patient enough to wait for seeding meetings to held. A/AA has to deal with generally bigger brackets.

As a coach, I tried to affect this change when it occurred. I had a fifth that could have replaced a bye. I sought to get him or another fifth that opportunity.

I want to add that forfeits started showing up in the mid 1980's with no solution presented except that it would be too cumbersome to figure out a way to fill the slots.

JW this idea of using a 5th or 6th from some other region to fill forfeits was proposed over 15 years ago. The powers that be nixed the plan. Perhaps now they will look again at the suggestion. It makes sense even for the A-AA tournament.
