Re: Covid Impacted STQs
My understanding is that the kids, with a judges approval and their BOE approval, made the trip to Huntington after following CDC guidelines and testing, but were still denied the opportunity to compete. I'd like to hear WSSAC's stance on that and anyone else that knows or is able to confirm. It rea...

Re: No podium
This is our WVSSAC in action. It's been a series of bad decisions right after the other since the beginning.

Re: Finally here
Back in December I wasn't sure we would even get to this point so it is kind of like the night before Christmas for me. As far as predictions it looks like the usual suspects are as strong as ever. The only problem with that comment is some of the toughest wrestlers aren't able to compete due to ar...

Re: State Tournament Health
I’ve never read CDC guidelines for weighing-in a wrestler that is out due to quarantine. Seems like the WVSSAC made a decision, then changed their mind. I was referring to not allowing those under quarantine to participate at the state tournament So if they have been placed in quarantine based on y...

Re: State Tournament Health
What a sad situation. Seemingly made worse by the all-to-predictable poor decision making of the WVSSAC. I imagine from their perspective following the CDC and state guidelines is a wise decision. What if they ignored them and things went bad. Still very sad and poor decisions made by WCSSAC. The w...

Bridgeport is out because they were exposed at Regionals. Not the other way around

Re: State Tournament Health
According to the article only Bridgeport is affected. The rest of the region is still a go. Here is a snippet of the article. The following weight classes are affected: 120, 138, 145, 160, 170, 182, 195, and 285. All Region I wrestlers will be bumped up where applicable, and the AAA Region I 5th-pl...

The article from WV news is wrong and misleading
This is a false statement

Re: State Tournament Health
This comment did not age well... Is all of Region 1 going into quarantine? From WVNews.com: Wrestling team has been instructed to quarantine after COVID-19 exposure. Students from University, Wheeling Park, Buckhannon-Upshur, Bridgeport, John Marshall, Brooke, Preston and Morgantown high schools com...
