Due to school cancellation for weather in Doddridge County on Friday, weigh-ins will be base + 3.
Weigh-ins are at 11:00 with wrestling scheduled to start at 1:00.
Make checks payable to “PSHS Athletics”
Attached are the brackets for Saturday’s Girls State Tournament. We will be using round robin formats and everyone should get at least 4 matches and some will get 5 matches.
There will be five rounds wrestled.
Weight Class codes: ex H147A and H1471
Prefix: M=Middle School Division; H=High School Division
Middle 3 digits: Weight Class
Suffix: A, B = preliminary rounds (1st three rounds);
1, 3, 5, X = championship, consolation rounds, and exhibition rounds (rounds 4&5)
If a weight class has no suffix, it is a 6-man round robin and will be wrestled across 5 rounds
The software is great for round robins but is lacking in round assignment and scoring so bear with us. This is my first time scoring a round robin tournament. Please bring any oversights to my attention.
The middle school heavyweight class has been changed to 285 to complement the national heavyweight limit.
Also attached is the guidelines for the tournament.
