State Tournament
Only allowing 4 tickets per wrestler. Seems a little low to me. They should be able to allow more than that. That would be less that 15% capacity. Whats everyone else's thoughts?
Re: State Tournament
I looked it up on the internet and the arena will seat 9000. I figured roughly, very roughly, with qualifying wrestlers + 4 tickets per, approx 60 coaches + 2 tickets per, refs and table workers, event staff, that should be about 2000 people inside the arena give or take. Seems there could be more.
Re: State Tournament
After a second glance I see the CAPACITY is 9000. Not sure if that includes floor seating for concerts.

Re: State Tournament
14 weight class x 16 wrestlers = 224 wrestlers
224 wrestlers x 4 = 896
60 coaches
60 coaches x 2 tickets = 120
= 1300 people.
They should be able to do alot more than that

Re: State Tournament
I am only seeking clarity.
I heard the governor said everything was open.
I saw where the map is not used for managing sports now.
What is the current state of affairs in WV in relation to what is open and what is not.
Are restaurants allowed to go at full capacity now? If so, then why can't the Civic Center??
If people are scared of Covid, then they should stay home. I am not afraid and I am being kept AT HOME!!!

Re: State Tournament
I'm quite sure that everyone is taking a hard hit on this attendance issue. The WVSSAC does not regulate the attendance of any such arena, the facility or county deticates this. As far as revenue, I'm also sure that no money is being made by either side. Let's wish and pray that this tournament gets completed and to look forward to a more complete season next year.
