The following is an email I received a short time ago from Dr. Welker.
Hi Guys,
"Some very serious news! Dr. Tim Miller had a heart attack today and is in critical condition! Please put him in your prayers. Dr. Miller has done so, so, so much to promote wrestling (wrestlers, coaches, officials, and enthusiasts) in West Virginia for decades. Again, keep him in your prayers."
Please pray for Doc. Miller and his family
Doc Miller's health

God speed for such a talented and fine man!
Re: Doc Miller's health
Doc (or someone close to him) has locked down post on the forum. He is the owner of the site and is the primary "caretaker" of it. He protects it from spam, viruses and unwanted post.
We need to pray for Doc and his family as he battles through this difficult time. He and I had a conversation on here a few months back about perpetuation of WV-Mat and he stated he had no plan for its continuation if something happened to him.
Get better Doc, not for this site, but for your family and friends. You are surrounded by our prayers.

UPDATE:
I just received a call from Mrs. Miller about Doc. He is resting comfortably at present. They will possibly know more tomorrow about his status after testing. The family thanks everyone for their prayers and support and request that we respect their privacy.
I will try to keep everyone posted as updates become available.
God is good all the time and thank you so much for your understanding and especially your prayers.

Re: Doc Miller's health
Doc's family has set up a Facebook group called "How's Doc Doing?" to provide accurate updates to those who are seeking news on his progress. His son, Nathan, just changed this group to public. His wife, MaryKay, said "rumors were flying like crazy" so they decided that was a good option. Not only has Doc impacted the wrestling community in a huge way, as a surgeon, political figure in Kingwood, etc. there are no doubt many seeking information on his progress. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Re: Doc Miller's health
This update is from Dr. Fred Conley on Doc's progress:
I am writing to give you an update on Dr. Miller's continued improvement. Today he was moved to Health South and was anxious to begin the next leg of his recovery journey. He is up walking without difficulty and has had no falls even though he is attempting to walk at his old pace, which was a "near run." His swallowing is much improved and his diet is being increased. There is still minimal confusion at times, as well as occasional speech difficulties, but overall is markedly better over the last week. His memory is also gradually returning. Intensive speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy should make a huge difference in a short time. The family is still limiting general visitors, but if anyone of you would like especially to visit, just call Mary Kay Miller at 304-677-2849 to schedule a visit. Thank you for your continued prayers that his progress will continue.
Isaiah 53:5
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
